UNIGOV Handbook

What is Unigov? How does it work? How can you participate knowledgeably in local government?

First published in 1980, the Unigov Handbook: A Citizen’s Guide to Local Government is designed to inform the community about Indianapolis-Marion County’s unique form of local government. It was compiled, researched and edited by League of Women Voter of Indianapolis members with assistance from various community members and government workers and is intended to provide accurate, non-partisan information.

As a result of an exciting partnership with the Digital Encyclopedia of Indianapolis, you can find a dynamic and searchable version of the Handbook on their website.
