Annual Soup Lunch & Position Review. The LWV board invites all current and prospective members to this annual event! Privatization Study Meeting #2. Brown bag lunchtime discussion with Citizen's Energy Group President & CEO, Carey Lykins. Following Mr. Lykins' presentation and Q&A session, there will be a discussion of the LWVUS papers: Privatization of Publicly Owned Waste Water Treatment Plant, Subcontracting Public Education, Deregulating Rail Roads, and Privatizing Prisons. Guest speaker Sheila Suess Kennedy, author of To Market, To Market: Reinventing Indianapolis, will discuss her experiences wtih privatization efforts under former Mayor Steven Goldsmith. Following Dr. Kennedy's remarks will be a dicussion of the LWVUS papers, State Level Privatization 2011 and The Public Policy Debate.
